Bio

Hiram Carrasquillo, MD

Dr. Hiram Carrasquillo is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico and the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. His residency was completed in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed a post-graduate fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in Cincinnati, OH, under G. James Sam Marco, M.D.  During his fellowship, he assisted the orthopedic team physician in the care of the MLB Cincinnati Reds, and the NFL Cincinnati Bengals.

Dr. Carrasquillo is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and  member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.  

Dr. Carrasquillo has been serving the Jacksonville community since 1994. He specializes in the treatment of the foot & ankle sports injuries, reconstruction, trauma, ankle replacements, lower leg and general orthopedic surgery. 

Dr. Carrasquillo has collaborated in the care of NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, Jacksonville Sharks, Jacksonville, University, and many high school level athletes. He has served in the military for the US Army Reserve and Florida National Guard for 13 years. 

Dr Carrasquillo has served in leadership roles as Chief of Staff for the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville during the COVID 19 pandemic and organized for over 15 years a Jacksonville event sponsored by Our Hearts To Your Soles to benefit the Sulzbacher Center.
